Foot reflexology
What is reflexology?
Foot reflexology is a holistic and natural treatment method that uses specific pressure and massage techniques on very precisely defined reflex points on the foot.
Through the flowing, dynamic nature of the pressure massage on the foot, the organs, glands, nerves, muscles and body parts associated with the reflex zones are better supplied with blood, stimulated or relaxed. Self-regulatory body functions are re-activated and harmonized, releasing blocked energies (e.g. triggered by tension or scars) throughout the body.

History of the foot reflexology massage
Reflexology is a method that, like acupuncture, has been practiced in Asia for an estimated 5000 years. Experts agree that the American ENT physician Dr. William Henry Fitzgerald, was one of the first to bring the knowledge of reflexology to the Western world.
According to the theoretical principles of reflexology therapy, all organs, glands, nerves, muscles and other parts of the body are found in a similar arrangement on the feet. The many thousands of nerve endings on the sole of the foot react accordingly to touch, massage and pressure.
Many years of experience have shown that reflexology has a positive effect on a wide range of health disorders and complaints.
Mode of action of a foot reflexology massage
- relieves tension in the muscular and locomotor system
- relieves pain and sleep disorders

- harmonizes hormonal and mood changes (e.g. menopausal symptoms, menstruation)
- dissolves blockages and brings congested energy flowing again
- regulates stomach and intestinal functions
- has a balancing effect in the case of scar removal
- and much more
Treatment procedure reflexology
1. recording of personal data and anamnesis
2. brief discussion of the patient's condition, personal issues and complaints
3. visual and tactile findings on the feet, localization of scars
4. treatment of the foot reflex zones and, if necessary, reflective scar removal
5. final discussion
Treatment duration
Please plan enough time to arrive and for the treatment to experience the treatment success without time pressure and to be able to relax completely.
As a rule, a reflex zone massage lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, especially in the case of possible scar removal and during the initial anamnesis.
