What is a foot reflexology massage?

Pressure massage of the foot reflex zones
Foot reflexology is a holistic and natural treatment method that uses specific pressure and massage techniques on precisely defined reflex points on the foot.
Through the flowing, dynamic nature of the pressure massage on the foot, the organs, glands, nerves, muscles and body parts connected to the reflex zones are better supplied with blood, stimulated or relaxed. Self-regulatory bodily functions are reactivated and harmonized, releasing blocked energies (e.g. triggered by tension or scars) throughout the body.

History of the development of foot reflexology
Foot reflexology is a method that, like acupuncture, was practiced in Asia an estimated 5000 years ago. Experts agree that the American ENT specialist Dr. William Henry Fitzgerald was one of the first to bring the knowledge of reflexology to the Western world.
According to the theoretical principles of reflexology, all organs, glands, nerves, muscles and other parts of the body are located in a similar arrangement on the feet. The many thousands of nerve endings on the sole of the foot react accordingly to touch, massage and pressure.
Many years of experience have shown that foot reflexology has a positive effect on a variety of health disorders and complaints.
